Lana Ryder, Founder, Director & Senior Instructor
My classes to the general public on the introduction to the fundamentals of sound therapy were the first and only ones in the immediate Harrisburg, Lancaster, York, Pa area for many years. The purpose of the original fundamental class was and continues to be to introduce anyone to the basic art and science of using sound, voice and music and to let them get their hands on several instruments to experience the sounds for themselves. In the six-and-a-half month school program students are introduced to a wide variety of many more instruments. Often students of these classes are drawn to one or more instruments and decide to pursue a more in depth study with either myself or with one of a few teachers of excellence to whom I refer. My years of experience in professional music performance, allopathic and holistic medicine, massage and energy therapies, as both practitioner and teacher, helped to give me the necessary training and practical insight to teach a wide variety of both holistic and allopathic healthcare practitioners how to begin using sound therapy in their practices. Ever learning, studying and re-learning, and sometimes unlearning, I endeavor to keep up with the latest studies and academic classes in sound healing/vibrational medicine to bring students the best and latest information. Assistant and guest instructors meet the highest standards of education, experience and integrity. We do offer a diploma for sound therapy certificate because many venues are now requiring or requesting that sound practitioners have them. I personally do not have certificates for all of the hundreds of hours of classes and courses I have taken because many of the teachers did not give them. Anyone can give you a certificate for anything. It is where and whom you got it from that gives it value. Keep in mind, there is no official credentialing organization within the whole field of sound therapy in the U.S. But there are some good schools, courses and teachers. We welcome further inquiry if you are considering us and would love to meet you in person before you make your final decision. We encourage you to support our local, woman-owned business with some of the best local sound therapy instructors around who live in and support our community!
