All the years of training, education and experience in both the allopathic and holistic fields have culminated to bring me to this place where I can best serve my clients and students by offering a more comprehensive approach to teaching, healing, wellness and healthy aging.  My journey with sound actually began in my mother's womb, as she was a professional musician and in utero I heard her singing and playing the organ and piano. I was always playing at the keyboards, took clarinet lessons in elementary school, then later piano and guitar, and then voice in high school and again years later.  My own personal and practical experience in healing music ministry, though, began nearly 50 years ago, using my voice as primary instrument. I did not fully realize at the time how the Spirit was using my voice and the sounds and tones within to touch and move the hearts and minds of people in spite of many comments from people attesting to the fact.  I believe now, as I did then, it is a Gift, and I am blessed to use it in an ever-increasing awareness of specific tones, notes and sounds.  As a former Licensed massage and energy therapist of 27 years, Reiki Master Teacher for 17 years, and previously working in allopathic medicine for 25 years, my continuing education is ongoing. My focus is to introduce people to sound healing for using intuitively, skillfully and integratively in such practices. I am privileged to study with some of the best-known and most respected sound teachers not only nationally but globally. I am committed to continuing education in the sound therapy field so that I can bring the latest and best information to my students. I am committed to collaborative work to promote commUNITY and opportunities and encourage my students to do the same.  I am blessed to see so many of those who began their studies in sound with me go on to birth their own practices, classes and collaborations.  The mission of my practice, teaching and Soundwise Health is to share the healing power of love through sound. I share where I have been and what I have done not to boast but to let people know of my experience if that is knowledge they need to make a decision, as I have been told some do, and some won't care at all. There are now a number of ways to receive sound healing instruction.  It is more than just making sounds with the instruments.
