All the years of training, education and experience in both the allopathic and holistic fields have culminated to bring me to this place where I can best serve my clients and students by offering a more comprehensive approach to teaching, healing, wellness and healthy aging. My journey with sound actually began in my mother's womb, as she was a professional musician and in utero I heard her singing and playing the organ and piano. I was always playing at the keyboards, took clarinet lessons in elementary school, then later piano and guitar, and then voice in high school and again years later. My own personal and practical experience in healing music ministry, though, began nearly 50 years ago, using my voice as primary instrument. I did not fully realize at the time how the Spirit was using my voice and the sounds and tones within to touch and move the hearts and minds of people in spite of many comments from people attesting to the fact. I believe now, as I did then, it is a Gift, and I am blessed to use it in an ever-increasing awareness of specific tones, notes and sounds. As a former Licensed massage and energy therapist of 27 years, Reiki Master Teacher for 17 years, and previously working in allopathic medicine for 25 years, my continuing education is ongoing. My focus is to introduce people to sound healing for using intuitively, skillfully and integratively in such practices. I am privileged to study with some of the best-known and most respected sound teachers not only nationally but globally. I am committed to continuing education in the sound therapy field so that I can bring the latest and best information to my students. I am committed to collaborative work to promote commUNITY and opportunities and encourage my students to do the same. I am blessed to see so many of those who began their studies in sound with me go on to birth their own practices, classes and collaborations. The mission of my practice, teaching and Soundwise Health is to share the healing power of love through sound. I share where I have been and what I have done not to boast but to let people know of my experience if that is knowledge they need to make a decision, as I have been told some do, and some won't care at all. There are now a number of ways to receive sound healing instruction. It is more than just making sounds with the instruments. It is more than just an online weekend class. May you be guided to the teachers, schools and practitioners that best resonate with you.

Monica has been following sound all of her life. Whether just listening to music, dancing or playing the ukulele it has been a source of joy for her. But it wasn’t until after striking her first singing bowl in December 2019 that she felt a calling. Monica was magnetized to the enveloping sound and she began following the soundwaves like a path.
Through a series of magical events she acquired more bowls, started practicing on people and began training under sound therapy practitioner/teacher, Lana Ryder, in Lancaster in 2020. Monica eventually completed a private one-on-one 6 month sound practitioner certification course with Lana in March 2022. Lana introduced her to Alexandre Tannous’ teachings which expanded her understanding of sound. In October of 2020, Monica booked a private session with Tannous in New York City to experience his sound meditation first hand, which resulted in an invitation to a 100 hour sound ceremony facilitator training in March of 2021 with Alexandre, David Shamesh and Christiane Karam. Monica continues to expand her knowledge of sound, as it is an unending topic, which enriches her sessions as she incorporates her findings as she learns.

A graduate of the Soundwise School of Harmonic Therapy, he believes everyday is an opportunity to Love and create Joy through Sound. As a sound practitioner, he lets Love flow through his instruments whenever he plays and truly desires Sound be a gateway to Healing and Health for everyone. He invites all those persons who are harried, busy, and overwhelmed to receive, so their bodies, minds and hearts can drop into the peaceful energy of Self-Care and Healing. Ken continues to study sound most recently with additional classes from Mitch Nur, PhD, Michael Bettine and Thomas Orr Anderson.
